10 Tips To Stop Freezing Up Around Women

10 Tips To Stop Freezing Up Around Women

These 10 simple exercises will help erase your anxiety around beautiful women

It’s incredibly common to be nervous around beautiful women – and the truth is that these nerves might not fully disappear.

You can still create a meaningful connection, even if you show some nerves.

However, it’s important to control them so you’re not a quivering mess in front of her.

Here are 10 tips to help you do that.

1. Obey the 5 second rule

The longer you wait to make your move, the more time your brain has to make excuses.

Get in the habit of counting down from 5 and saying hi before you reach 0.

2. Just say ‘hi’

Our brains have filters that prevent us from looking stupid. These filters block us from saying ‘hi’ to a stranger.

But what happens when we’ve actually introduced ourselves?

Now we’d look stupid if we don’t keep talking…

Our brain recognises this, opens up and provides you with things to say.

3. Change your definition of success

One of the main reasons we freeze up is because of the overwhelming expectations we put upon ourselves.

Lower these expectations, so that saying ‘hi’ is a victory for you. Anything else is just a bonus.

4. Surround yourself with supportive friends

Find friends who support this notion that saying ‘hi’ is awesome.

People who belittle you for talking to girls aren’t really your friends. They’ll only serve to make you more nervous.

5. Admit you’re nervous

The truth shall set you free. Admitting your flaws can be extremely powerful, especially if you’re not ashamed of them.

6. Start small

If you have to, start by asking for directions or the time. Once you’re used to that, approach and open the conversation with a compliment.

7. Make friends with attractive women

You’ll soon realise they’re just dorky humans who make dumb jokes and wear silly socks.

8. Meditate

This will help you stop listening to the unhelpful voices in your head. Headspace is a great meditation app for beginners.

9. Work on your self-esteem

This is a huge one. If you honestly believed that she’d benefit from meeting you, you’d be far less nervous. We do a lot of self-esteem work in our one-on-one coaching sessions.

10. Exposure therapy

The more you expose yourself to something scary, the easier it becomes to handle. Exposure therapy is used to help cure phobias, and it helps with approaching women too.
